John C. Heymann was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on June 8th, 1952 where he grew up and attended public school. Mr. Heymann has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in finance and accounting. He began his career in 1975 at Pennzoil Producing Company in Houston, Texas analyzing and summarizing oil and gas leases purchased by the company covering lands in the State of Texas. Subsequently, in 1976 he went to work as a landman for a public drilling fund, Centura, Inc., and a subsequently affiliated company, American Shoreline, Inc. where he ran title and purchased and administered oil and gas leases for the company. Mr. Heymann eventually became the Land Manager and Executive Vice President of Operations for American Shoreline, Inc. where he was in charge of all aspects of the exploration and production operations of the company ranging from buying oil and gas leases to eventually selling production produced from those leases to pipelines and/or end users.

Mr. Heymann worked for American Shoreline, Inc. as an owner, Director and Executive Vice President until he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1988. He was licensed to practice law in Texas on May 5, 1989. Mr. Heymann continues to be affiliated with American Shoreline, Inc. today in a management capacity. Mr. Heymann is well versed in all aspects of oil and gas law and concentrates his practice on title examination, transactional matters and the substantive issues involved in the oil and gas litigation handled by the firm. Mr. Heymann also testifies frequently as an expert in cases involving various oil and gas issues. Finally, Mr. Heymann is also well versed in all aspects of wind and solar energy law and was instrumental in negotiating wind leases and development agreements for one of the largest wind farms currently operating in the State of Texas.

Mr. Heymann retired in December, 2021.
