Alison J. Logan

Alison was born and raised in the Buckeye state and studied at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. before returning to Ohio to graduate from Antioch College. The call of windsurfing lured Alison and her husband John Bremser to beautiful Corpus Christi, Texas, and Alison later received her JD from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She participated in the Poverty Law Clinic and still holds the record for the most cases ever handled by a law student.

Clerking for one of her former law professors led to work with the U.S. Department of Justice on a consent decree involving Denny’s Restaurants, after which she represented the corporation on employment matters. She practiced insurance defense with McKinney & Associates in Corpus Christi before working as a litigator for the City of Corpus Christi. Alison quickly advanced to the position of Chief of Litigation, managing all of the claims, lawsuits and litigation attorneys, while handling her own docket of high-profile cases involving personal injury, contract disputes, employment and labor law, public safety, and environmental regulations. A second promotion to First Assistant City Attorney added transactional law, legislative, and governmental policy experience.

After leaving the City of Corpus Christi, Alison was associated with the Edwards Law Firm, where she represented Plaintiffs in motor vehicle accidents and premises liability lawsuits. Alison joined Upton, Mickits, & Heymann in 2018 and uses her skills and experience to zealously advocate for her clients.

Alison is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. She has represented clients from and tried lawsuits all over the State of Texas.
